What types of animals do you care for? We care for any & all pets, such as: dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, guinea pigs, mice, parrots, bearded dragons, frogs, tortoises, ball pythons, jumping spiders, & the list goes on. We give no preference to a certain type of pet. Each pet receives excellent care & lots of love.
Does my pet need to be up-to-date on vaccines? Your pet must be up-to-date on any vaccines required by law. For example, dogs, cats, & ferrets are required to have the rabies vaccine. A document must be uploaded into your client portal as proof before any visits will be accepted.
How do I schedule a drop-in visit? You can go to our Contact page, or click here to create your profile & schedule. We operate through Time To Pet, which can be downloaded on your smartphone for easy access. We don’t schedule pet sits through call, text, email, or in-person.
What if my pet doesn’t like to be on a leash? Greenville County has a law that requires all pets to be leashed when outside of your property. If you have a fenced yard that secures your pet from escaping (by holes in between/under or jumping over), then your pet won’t need to be leashed since they’re contained within your property.
Why don’t you offer dog walks? We will gladly take your dog outside to use the bathroom or play within your fenced yard. We don’t walk dogs, however, for safety reasons. There have been instances of loose dogs running up to the dog in our care & the dog itself pulling off its collar/harness to run loose.
What if the weather is bad? We’ll make every effort to drive to your home & care for your pet. This might mean the visit is modified, such as waiting an hour, due to an uncontrollable circumstance. If it’s not possible to drive safely to your home during dangerous weather (e.g., tornado warning, roads with black ice), we’ll immediately notify you & your emergency contact. Always have a backup plan in the rare instance that this might occur.
How do you choose pet sitters? All of our pet sitters must have a minimum of 6 months professional veterinary training &/or experience. This could be obtained by working at an animal hospital or studying in the veterinary field at an accredited college. Each pet sitter has undergone a background check as well.
Can I meet my pet sitter? Before your pet’s first visit, the pet sitter will reach out to you in order to schedule a meet-&-greet. If for some reason your usual pet sitter is unavailable & you’re assigned another pet sitter, they’ll also meet you beforehand.
When is payment due? Payment is due after your visits are completed. However, a payment method must be entered into your profile on Time To Pet before we accept any pet sits from you. This ensures all of our pet sitters receive pay for their work.
What forms of payment do you accept? Since we only accept payment through our client portal, there are two options: credit/debit or ACH/e-check. We don’t accept payment over the phone, by text, through email, or in-person.
What happens if I come home early? Let us know as soon as you decide to come home early & what visits need to be cancelled.
What happens if I need to extend my time away? Let us know as soon as possible if you’re stuck somewhere or simply would like to vacay a little longer. We will try to accommodate you as best as we can.
